Hot Smores Latte
I love this recipe for hot s’mores latte because it’s a cross between a cup of strong coffee and a hot chocolate. Then, it has the added delicious flavor of campfire s’mores, thanks to the additional syrups you use and the crushed graham crackers around the cup rim. Think salt on a margarita glass but this is a sweet cracker crust.

When getting ready to make this hot drink, I would prepare your mugs first. That is, get that crushed graham cracker crust onto the rims.
Once the mugs are ready, you’ll be able to make the rest of the drink that goes inside the mug. This will include adding the espresso or strong coffee. Be sure you choose the right kind of ground coffee to make the coffee strong enough for this drink
Then, you’ll add hot milk that you’ve warmed up using a milk frother . FYI, I think a milk frother is a great gift to give a coffee lover.
One of the reasons I love making this drink at home is the special touches you can add. When you get a s’mores latte or coffee at Dunkin, Starbucks or even Whole Foods, you may get graham cracker crumbs and marshmallows on top. However, you’re probably not getting the chocolate syrup and graham cracker crumbs around the rim. I’m licking my lips just thinking about how delicious the homemade version tastes.
If you like s’mores, have you ever considered making air fryer s’mores? It’s a great option if you don’t have a campfire nearby.
Ingredients Overview

Step-by-Step Instructions
Start by crumbling the graham crackers. You can do this by hand or using a mortar and pestle. Spread the graham cracker crumbs on a small plate. On a second plate, pour the chocolate syrup.

Dip the rim of your mug or glass in chocolate syrup.

Then, dip the rim, then dip it into the graham cracker crumbs to coat the rim.

Brew your espresso — or coffee— and pour it into the graham cracker encrusted mug. Stir in the s’mores syrup.

In a small saucepan or using a milk frother, heat the milk until it’s warm and frothy. Avoid boiling. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso and syrup mixture. Stir gently to combine.

Garnish with mini marshmallows.

Sprinkle crushed graham cracker crust over the top of your drink, if you’d like an extra taste of s’mores. Enjoy.
Notes
S’mores syrup is likely not something you’re going to see on supermarket shelves. So you’ll have to order it online. You can find smores syrup for coffee on Amazon. There are also sugar-free smores syrup options, if that’s important to you.
If you want to make this recipe vegan, you can substitute the dairy milk with coconut milk or another plant- or nut-based milk, such as almond milk. Similarly, you can use vegan marshmallows.
